single-target DPS, which pet is best? (this is measurable)2010-03-09 00:00:00Since pet's DPS varies from pet-to-pet, I would like to know 2 things (that anyone outside of the BM tree can tell me):
1. What is the base AP of a lvl 70 pet?
2. What is the base DPS (DPS - AP Bonus) of a lvl 70 pet?
Give me the pet class so I can figure it out from the 1.00-modifier perspective, or just do a carrion bird, crocolisk, dragonhawk, hyena, serpent, sporebat, tallstrider, or wolf (any of the 1.00 DPS pets).
Edit: I'll do the math for 4 pets with a few different skill builds for each of them. I would be assuming cobra reflexes (+12.5 DPS according to petopia). The 4 pets would be wolf (assuming furious howl affects 3 targets, then 4), a windsperpent, a ravager, and...
Pet Training2010-03-03 00:00:00that made my day, now if only I can get out of work earlier.....I didn't learn feign death yet on my hunter, but I've seen it enough to try it out on my Hunter
Zelok-71 Lock
Zedead-70 DK
Zebug-61 Rogue
Zepally-48 Pally
Pretty much. Looking at the number cost next to a skill is basically seeing the cost of all ranks up to that point, rather than the individual rank itself. So, you're paying the difference between what you have trained already and what new rank you're training. <...
World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Features2010-02-23 00:00:00As we reported earlier in the week, the second World of Warcraft expansion is, indeed going to be Wrath of the Lich King. I was present on the show floor at BlizzCon when it was announced, as well as when they gave the first official demonstration, and I went on to get over an hour of hands-on time with it (which I will post my impressions of shortly).
For now, I have condensed the hour-long demonstration down to the finer points for your reading enjoyment. If you want to skip straight to the good stuff, it’s in bold.
Ten Ton Hammer should have video ofthe entire demoup soon. I know this, because I was standing about a foot behind a guy wearing a very loud and conspicuous TEN TON HAMMER jersey who was manipulating a large camera on a tripod.
New Continent: Northrend.
Dalaran has decided to move a few thousand miles for some reason, and is now the capital city of Northrend.
Level cap increased to 80.
Hero classes introduced.
First hero class: Death Knight
- Will be unlockable by any character through performing a series of quests, raiding was said to not be involved.
- Will not start out at level 1. They weren clear if it would start out at your character current level (presumably max) or just a mid-range level.
- Uses a une?system in place of rage or mana; players select runes to inscribe on their runeblade, and consume them by performing spells and abilities linked to a particular rune type.
- More hero classes will be added in later patches/expansions.
No new races or new eg...

A Week In Comments2009-09-22 00:00:00Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Has Really Big Guns
Comment by: psycoking
Nominated by: -MasterDex-
Yeah, something about this thread has me feeling like I'm some cranky old man of gaming. I seriously can't believe that people here are complaining about a few slightly rough edges and calling them "jaggies." Hell! I remember a time when you'd start up a game and you'd be surrounded by jaggies. Real ones too. Not these sissyfied jaggies with steps so small that'd you hardly notice them without putting on your glasses. I bet you don't even see them when their moving! Hmph! I remember when jaggies were JAGGIES! Corners so big and so sharp you could cut yourself if you got to close to your monitor!
Angelina Jolie Annoyed Megan Fox Might Be Lara Croft
Comment by: (zombie) buddhathing damn...<...
Horde Toon Power Leveling Guide2009-08-27 00:00:00to hit here and quest – no matter what.Horde toons are easier to level. It is an unspoken, but widely known, secret that Blizzard likes the Horde best. You can see it in the quest lines, the cities, the gear, and pretty much everywhere in the game.
For this reason, Horde toons are the easiest to power level. There are several spots in the Alliance leveling line where y...
in after you already have an2009-05-15 00:00:00Suneater is a great weapon to swap in after you already have an iredible threat-lead. In serious raiding that wont really happen -- but in heros, Kara, and even ZA it's not too diffult to end up with 50k more threat than the next person on the list. Still -- Theudgel ofonsration is awesome unless you'relearing ZA or Hyjal often. It's the first ep that's REALLY useful to a Paladin tank.
Losie wrote:Suneater is a great weapon to swap in after you already have an iredible threat-lead. ...
