The Third Street AleWorks opened to the public on March 8th, 1996. Founders Jim Tasley, Todd Hedrick and Chris Hagan envisioned a fun, casual environment where patrons could always count on great beer and equally great food. Long-time friends and beer enthusiasts, Todd Hedrick and Chris Hagan, had long schemed about opening a brewpub. In 1995, Todd and Chris met Jim Tasley (a successful restaurateur from Marin County, CA) and that dream soon became a reality. The AleWorks is more than a just a place to get great house-brewed beer and a good meal. The AleWorks is a "community hub" of sorts. Whether people go there to meet their friends for a late-night game of pool or darts in the upstairs billiard area, or to hang out after work in the outdoor beer garden for a couple of "Hoppy Hour" pints, the AleWorks is a place where people like to come together, relax and possibly make new friends.
